This Saturday 20 July we’ll be holding our annual Open Day at the Cannon Hill Common Lake and launching our Junior Section, the Wandle Young Piscators, from 10am to 4pm.
The day is also sponsored by National Fishing Month and as part of our commitment to encourage and promote angling within our community we will be offering free taster sessions with qualified angling coaches and goody bags, if the postie delivers in time, for all who sign up.
There will also be demonstrations of float making and fly tying, a chance to test your arm with some lily lobbing and if that isn’t enough we’ll help you identify your favourite Wandle bug.
And for Wands members, new and existing, this is your chance to swap your vouchers for a free Wandle Piscators branded LitterBuggy.
These neat pocket-sized rubbish caddies are the fastest way to dispose of waste line, hooks, shot and other odds and sods so you can keep your swim tidy and free of dangers to wildlife and live up to the environmental and ecological values promoted by the club.
